Join us for The Power of Remembering to Dream, the start of our new series, The Domino Effect: Decisions That Make A Difference.
Why do some decisions carry more weight over time? In this opening message, Pastor Alvin helps us rediscover the importance of remembering what truly matters and how our choices shape our lives, church, and nation.
In the Book of Ruth, we see how forgetfulness plunged a nation into chaos, but the decisions of a small community, rooted in love, loyalty, and faith, sparked hope and set the stage for a redemptive story. Let’s make the decision today to be part of something greater that makes a difference—something that truly creates a lasting, domino effect.
Tune in and be inspired to remember what truly matters as we reflect on how dreaming and living faithfully can create a powerful domino effect in our communities. One decision can truly start something unstoppable.

Join us for “The Sign of Modern Day Slavery,” part of the "You Have a Part to Play" series—a series where we address six key cultural issues—Fame, Homelessness, Creation Care, Politics, Modern Slavery, and Common Humanity.
In this thought-provoking sermon, Bria Lacour addresses the critical cultural issue of Modern Day Slavery, emphasizing how Christians can be catalysts for change by recognizing and humanizing the vulnerable among us, just as Christ empathizes with everyone. She explores Psalm 10 by posing the following questions:
What does God’s Word say about the exploitation and trafficking of vulnerable populations?
How does it address force, fraud, and coercion?
What about forced labor, forced marriage, child soldiers, and domestic servitude—human trafficking in all its forms?
Would you know what modern-day slavery would look like if its victim were staring you in the face or even gesturing for help?
How can we respond to the atrocity of modern-day slavery, and what does that response entail?
Amid the relentless news cycles and the overwhelming complexities surrounding Modern Day Slavery, Bria guides us on how to bring this issue and its victims before God. She illustrates how Psalm 10 provides a model and sign for a Christ-centered response to evil and injustice through the lenses of protesting, praying, and praising.

Join us for “A Political Calling In, Not Out,” part of the "You Have a Part to Play" series—a series where we address six key cultural issues—Fame, Homelessness, Creation Care, Politics, Modern Slavery, and Common Humanity.
In this engaging sermon, Pastor Alvin Brown dives into the important topic of Politics and calls on Christians to actively shape our world. He explores Romans 13:1-7, where the Apostle Paul addresses a community much like ours—early Christians facing a challenging political landscape under Roman rule, rife with oppression, division, and political discourse. Just as they grappled with living out their faith in a conflicting environment of governing authorities, we too are navigating a complex political climate today.
Our society is deeply divided, filled with passionate debates and differing ideologies. Yet, Paul’s message to the Romans—to submit to governing authorities—challenges us to reflect God’s heart in this broken world. It’s not just about submitting for the sake of submitting, but it’s a challenge for us to examine our motivations and allegiances in our submitting as we consider:
How can we, as followers of Christ, become agents of reconciliation and unity, especially with those in power, even when we disagree?
Pastor Alvin encourages us to balance our convictions with our calling to love one another, shedding light on God’s vision for the relationship between church and state. He inspires us to understand the divine purpose behind politics and government, urging us to be difference-makers in a culture that desperately needs the hope and grace of Jesus.

In this message, Pastor Alvin Brown addresses the crucial topic of Creation Care and the responsibility of Christians to engage in this important issue. He highlights Psalm 24, which articulates God’s call for humanity’s role in caring for creation, and poses the thought-provoking question: What if we truly embraced our call to be stewards of all creation? Guided by four practical reflections—the way things were, the way things are, the way things could be, and the way things will be—Pastor Alvin explores the profound implications of this stewardship.
